AvenTrace

ImprintPrivacy PolicyTerms of Use

Version January 1, 2026

Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data AvenTrace ("we") collects when you use aventrace.io, the assessment form, the client portal and our chat, and how we handle it.

1. Controller and contact

The controller is AvenTrace, Seilergraben 53, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland. Privacy requests: desk@aventrace.io.

2. Data we collect

Information you give us: name, telephone number, e-mail address, type of fraud, approximate amount, description of your case, documents you upload to the client portal (screenshots, statements, chat exports, contracts) and the content of e-mails, chats, calls and call notes.

Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referrer, cookie preferences and server log entries required to operate and secure the site.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Reviewing and answering your request (steps prior to a contract); providing the agreed case-documentation service (performance of a contract); compliance with legal obligations such as record keeping; our legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention and improving the site; and your consent for optional analytics cookies and for follow-up contact. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

4. Recipients

Our staff and case reviewers, who are bound by confidentiality; the hosting provider (Namecheap, Inc., 4600 East Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034, USA); e-mail and telephony providers; translation and text-processing providers used to translate or summarise correspondence under contract; and public authorities only where legally required or expressly requested by you. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to marketing partners.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where data leaves these jurisdictions we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

Enquiry data that does not lead to an opened case is deleted 24 months after the last contact. Case files are retained for the duration of the engagement and for up to 10 years thereafter to meet legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept for 90 days. Chat transcripts are deleted when the related enquiry is deleted.

7. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies (language, session, cookie choice) are required to run the site. Optional analytics and campaign-measurement cookies (Google tag) are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies for aventrace.io.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – for example the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your EU data-protection authority. Requests: desk@aventrace.io.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted (TLS). Access to case files is restricted to authorised staff and logged. We will never ask you for passwords, PINs, wallet seed phrases, full card numbers or remote access to your device – do not send them to us.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The current version is always published at aventrace.io/privacy.
